While I like the simplicity of TinyUrl I hate the lack of meaning. This variation looks similar to how Django encourages meaningful urls.

Mozilla Labs Blog Â» Blog Archive Â» Prism

Looked cool at first but it’s basically a minimalistic wrapper around firefox (without the tabs and extra ui). If you want to pretend that your web apps are desktop apps then this may be for you. Worth looking at down the road though.
