Why Do Most Podcasts Stink?
Wednesday, July 6th, 2005I’ve tried listening to various podcasters ranging from TWIT, Digg, Scripting.com, and GoDaddy Radio. So far, they all suck. Digg seems the promising but it so far all of these just seem like either random mumbles trying to pass as a radio show. Sad in deed.
I really wanted to like the TWIT people but I’ve decided recently that I don’t care for Leo. His ego far out weighs any interesting or redeeming qualities that the others may have. A few weeks back, they were almost a week late on their “Your first podcast of the week is the last word in tech” which translates into, when ever we release it but we want to “say” that we release every Sunday at midnight… even though we’ve never quite been able to keep up with that. The need to ditch Leo and stop moderating posts.
One reasons I dislike Leo is after he was busy one week and didn’t get around to releasing their podcast, instead of just admitting to it, he tried to spin the issue into a “podcast quality issue”. I posted three comments and none of my comments ever showed up because they moderated it. Interestingly enough, the only thing I pointed out was that everyone focused on the quality of the post rather then the fact that people were mad more so because they promised to release it one day, then four days later there still was no response. As for now, they’ll never get my money.
